We’re collecting photos of storms hitting the Chicago area this summer — flooding, wind damage, downed trees, dramatic skies — for a map that shows how the region was affected. The map does not show conditions in real time; images are published after our journalists review them.

Your photo should contain time and date information to be considered for inclusion. This upload tool automatically extracts metadata from the image file to verify when and where the photo was taken; all submissions are vetted by our journalists. Images cannot exceed 15MB. Screenshots will be rejected.
